UNDERGROUND STORAGE TYPE OUTDOOR LAVATORY STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set up a lavatory with light work without needing to provide a separate lavatory storage place and to enable a large number of victims to use the lavatory in a shelter. SOLUTION: A rectangular cylinder member 14 is buried underground so that its upper end is almost flush with the ground surface 21, and support members 16, 17 for supporting floor plates 22 with discharge holes 22a formed, so as to be almost flush with the ground surface 21 are enclosed in the cylinder member 14. A lavatory box body 18 is composed of a rectangular opening/ closing roof plate 23 of almost the same size as the upper face of the cylinder member 14, and a wall body 24 hangingly provided at or near the peripheral edge of the opening/closing roof plate 23 and having an entrance at a part. During nonuse of a lavatory 11, the opening/closing roof plate 23 is disposed on the floor plate so as to close the discharge holes 22a, and the wall body is enclosed in the cylinder member 14 so as to surround the outer peripheral surface of the support bodies 16, 17. At the time of using the lavatory 11, the opening/closing roof plate is lifted to the specified height from the floor plates 22, and the wall body 24 is taken out of the cylinder body 14 and fixed to the floor plates 22 or support members 16, 17.
