PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make preliminarily confirmable and checkable whether or not a water feed hose is correctly connected and a water leak by breaking, cracking, etc., of water feed valve due to freezing, etc., exists in a washing machine in which water is fed to a water feed valve of the main body through a water feed hose from the tap. SOLUTION: This washing machine is equipped with a top plate 12 in the upper part of a water tank 2 rotatably including a washing and dehydrating tub 3, a water feed valve 14 is equipped in an operation box 13 set on the top plate 12 to feed water to the water tank 2, and a control means controls a series of processing such as washing, rinsing, dehydrating, etc. A water leak detecting means 18 to detect water leak from the water feed valve 14 is equipped on the lower part of the water feed valve 14 in the operation box 13.
