PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance dye light stability by using a photographic element comprising silver halide emulsion layers containing in relation with a specified dye forming coupler. SOLUTION: This photographic element comprises silver halide emulsion layers containing in relation with a dye forming coupler represented by formula in which X is H or a coupling releasable group; each of R , R , R is independently selected from an alkyl group but optional two of them may combine with each other to form a a ring; R is H or a substituent but when it is a substituent, each of R and R may combine with each other to form a ring; R is H or a substituent; each of of Y is a substituent selected independently and at least one of the Y substituents in the positions 2 to an oxygen atom has formula -NHSO2 R group; R is an alkyl or aryl group; and (n) is 1-5.
