FURNACE FOR GASIFICATION-MELTING OF WASTE AND METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a furnace for gasification-melting by utilizing organic substances in waste as energy in the furnace, or further recovering the same as energy gas, and collecting molten slugs, molten metals or further low boiling temperature heavy metals. SOLUTION: This gasification-melting furnace includes a waste-charging inlet 11-1 and a produced gas-discharging outlet 3-1 on an upper part, a molten slug and molten metal-discharging outlet on a lower part, tuyeres 5-1 of at least one stage capable of blowing combustion-supporting gas and auxiliary fuel respectively independently to a furnace wall part or tuyeres 5-1 to 5-3 separated to a plurality of stages (usually three stages), and a main port 28-1 and sub-ports 28-2. Alternatively further dust-collecting means (a hot cyclone 25) are provided, or still further a protruding part 30 provided with a space part 29 capable of accommodating molten slugs 31 and molten metals 33 temporarily is provided in a lower part of the furnace. A gasification melting method using the furnaces is obtained.
