Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fall of a pinion gear, to prevent the generation of noise and provide a stable differentiation limit action, and to improve durability of a differential device. SOLUTION: A deferential device 1 comprises a differential case 3 formed such that a differential case body 5 and a cover 7 are intercoupled through a screw 9; a pair of side gears 27 and 29 on the output side; a plurality of pairs of containing holes 13 and 15; and a pair of pinion gears 17 and 19 slidably rotatably contained in the containing holes 13 and 15, and engaged with the side gears 27 and 29, and engaged with each other. The cover 7 is provided with a holder 11 supported at the differential case, coaxially with the differential case 3. The holder 11 has a recessed part formed in an outer periphery and consisting of a part of containing holes 13 and 15.
