Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder material which improves the wet-rub resistance of an ink compsn. by incorporating specified structural units into the binder. SOLUTION: Structural units represented by formula 1 and/or formula II are incorporated. If necessary, structural units represented by formula III are also incorporated. Pref., the content of structural units of formula I is about 60.0 to about 99.8 wt.%; that of formula II, about 0.1 to about 30.0 wt.%; and that of formula III, about 0.1 to about 10.0 wt.%. In the formulas, each R is an independent group; R is H, a halogen, 1-6C alkyl, aryl, CN, NO2 , or SO3 R ; R is H or a 1-6C alkyl; R is H, a halogen, 1-6C alkyl, or aryl; and n is about 1 to about 6. Pref., R is H; R is Cl; and R is H. Pref., the binder material contains and/or covers a colorant, pref. a dye or a pigment. Pref., the ink compsn. is an ink jet ink compsn.
