Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acetabulum cup which can be fixed in the acetabulum of a patient over a long period and anatomically transmit pressures to the acetabulum. SOLUTION: An acetabulum cup 10 has a generally hemispherical recessed inner surface and a generally projecting outer surface 16 having a pole part P and an equator part E. The outer surface 16 has a first section 36 defined by a first radius originating from a first point and a second section 38 defined by a second radius originating from a second point. The second point deviates upwardly and transversely from the first point so that the acetabulum cup 10 is elongated upwardly/transversely.
