DISK RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE AND DISK RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a signal recording region where a digital audio signal has already been recorded and to achieve overwriting by providing a means for specifying a specific information signal recording region based on indexing information and a means for recording data at an information signal region that is specified by the specifying means. SOLUTION: A user specifies a track to be rewritten by a program. As an example, when tracks 2 and 5 and a non-written region are specified, a maximum of 25 minutes data can be rewritten. When the program is completed, first a start address 2-S of the track 2 is set to a recording start position and it is checked whether an end address 2-E has been reached or not during recording. When it is reached, a start address 5-S of the track 5 is newly set to a recording start position. Then, it is similarly checked whether the end address of the track has been reached or not during recording. When it is judged that the program has been completed, recording automatically ends.
