Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long member receiving metal fitting by which a long member can be temporarily placed so as not to disturb carpentry work. SOLUTION: A long member receiving metal fitting is constructed of a supporting column 1 and an arm rod. In the upper end part of the groove type steel supporting column 1, the fixed end of the groove type steel arm rod 2 slightly smaller than the supporting column 1 is journalled rotationally, while in the lower end part, a lateral rod 41 of a supporting rod, in which a T-shape is formed of a longitudinal rod 42 and the lateral rod 41, is journalled rotationally. In a hole 22 bored in a fixed piece 21 fixed to the both side edges of the free end in the arm rod 2, the free end of the longitudinal rod 42 in the supporting rod is passed through, and the arm rod 2 is supported orthogonally to the supporting column 1.
