DOUBLE-SIDED COATED PAPER FOR PRINTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain double-sided coated printing paper, excellent in white paper gloss, print gloss, smoothness, especially high stiffness, and in printing suitability such as water-absorbing impression property and ink dryability. SOLUTION: This double-sided coated paper for printing is obtained by disposing coating layers each containing a pigment and an adhesive as main components on both the sides of raw paper. Therein, the average value L of Clark projection lengths in the longitudinal and latitudinal directions, especially measured on the basis of JIS P-8143A for the double-sided coated paper satisfies the following inequality: L>1.28×+40 [L is the average value L (unit: mm) of Clark projection lengths in the longitudinal and latitudinal directions; X is the unit weight (g/m ) of the product], and when the double-sided coated paper is measured with a mercury porosimeter, a space volume in a length of 0.03-0.3 μm is 9.00-11.50 cc/m .
