Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject ink that has good chroma, shows excellent resistance to water and staining with high stability to light and is useful in thermal printers and the like by using a water-based vehicle and a specific insoluble colorant and a polymer dispersant. SOLUTION: This ink-jetting ink comprises (A) an aqueous vehicle such as a mixture of water and 2-pyrrolidone, (B) an insoluble colorant adsorbing (i) dyes/polymer complex or (ii) an organic pigment preferably having particle sizes of 0.01-0.3 μm and (C) a polymer dispersant such as a block copolymer of benzyl methacrylate and methacrylic acid. In preferred embodiment, the amount of component A is about 70-99.8 wt.% based on the whole weight, component B ii is 0.1-15 wt.%, while component B i is prepared from a polymer bearing a part selected from hydroxy, amine or other groups and its amount is preferably 0.02-40 wt.% based on the component B.
