Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically valuable method for highly selective manufacturing of n-phenyl-1-naphthylamine largely excluding undesirable secondary products, especially generation of 2-naphthylamine, and enabling reuse of the using catalyst and capable of operating economically satisfying reaction time and spatiotemporal yields. SOLUTION: N-phenyl-1-naphthylamine can be manufactured from aniline and 1-naphthyl-amine in liquid phase at 100 to 400 deg.C under pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure. For example, boron-and-fluorine-containing catalyst, mono- or polysulfonic acid, iodine, PCl3 , PCl5 or POCl3 can be used as the catalysts.
