Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thawer capable of preventing a thawed food from being too much warmed or causing a rapid temperature rise, capable of thawing the food in good balance while keeping the thawing speed by heating shelves while circulating air in the thawer, regulated so as to have a constant temperature around the thawer. SOLUTION: This thawer has a thawing room formed in an insulated box 1, heat plates 6 for carrying a material to be thawed thereon, installed in the thawing room, a heater for heating shelves stuck to the heat plates 6, a heat- source heater 8 for heating the air in the thawer, and an air-circulating fan 7 for circulating the air heated by the heat-source heater 8 around the thawer. The temperature in the thawer is increased to a constant temperature by operating the heater for heating the shelves, the heat-source heater 8 and the air- circulating fan 7, and the frozen food on the heat plate 6 is thawed by stopping the operation of the heat-source heater 8, and circulating the air in the thawer by the air-circulating fan 7 and heating by the heater for heating the shelves.
