Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polycarbonate polyol having good fluidity even at a low temperatures and useful for sheets or the like by reacting diol(s) with a carbonate. SOLUTION: This polyol is obtained by reacting (A) one or more kinds selected from among dimer diols and alkylene oxide derivatives thereof and preferably (B) one or more kinds selected from 2-20C aliphatic diols and 6-10C alicyclic diols with (C) a carbonate preferably in the molar ratio C/(A+B) of 0.5-5. For obtaining this polyor, it is recommended, for example, that the diols are reacted with the carbonate in the presence of a titanium-based or tin-based catalyst at a temp. of 100-400 deg.C for 5-40 hr.
