Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antimicrobial particles excellent in stably sustaining an antimicrobial power and therefore highly atoxic, and capable of preventing resins, etc., from degrading brightness and discoloring even in kneaded in the resins, by strengthening supportability for antimicrobial metals (e.g. silver) on inorganic particles. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial composition is obtained by overgrinding inorganic particles (e.g. calcium carbonate) along with antimicrobial metallic particles (e.g. silver particles) through dry blending and grinding under the application of pressure, based on mechanochemical effects, to form compound antimicrobial particles having an amorphous structure and combined by covalent bonds and is also prepared by adding 0.5-3 wt.% of the compound antimicrobial particles to a resin. It is possible to form the compound antimicrobial particles having a particle diameter of 0.01-10 μm by blending at least one kind of inorganic particles (having a particle diameter of 1-50 μm) selected from a group composed of calcium carbonate, barium sulfate and zirconium hydroxide with antimicrobial metallic particles composed of at least one king selected from a group composed of silver, copper and zinc and by subjecting them to overgrinding.
