Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the effect of a massage other than the physiological effect from the change quantity of adrenocortical hormone by collecting a humor before and after the massage, and quantifying the adrenocortical hormone in it. SOLUTION: A subject is thoroughly rested, his saliva is collected, a massage is applied, then saliva is again collected. The cortisol concentration the saliva is measured by radioimmunoassay, and the cortisol increase rate is calculated. The saliva is naturally collected with no load applied to the subject, and music is played to keep the cortisol concentration in the saliva at a stationary value. A kraepelin the or calculation may be applied to the subject to accelerate the secretion of cortisol by stress before a first collection. Radioimmunoassay is preferable for quantifying the cortisol in the saliva in view of sensitivity. The merit of the massage other than the physiological effect such as the acceleration of blood circulation can be objectively evaluated. |
