DURABLE DECORATIVE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance design characteristics so that profundity and warmth are obtained by covering a decorative body with a colored design layer formed on the surface of a heat-resistant base material with a cover coat layer made of a resin containing acrylate. SOLUTION: A resin layer with a thickness of 20-50 μm formed by applying an acrylate-contained resin with high ultraviolet absorbing capability, diluted with a solvent is formed on the mold parting face of a release sheet, and has the solvent vaporized to obtain a transfer sheet. Further, a colored pattern is formed on the resin layer of the transfer sheet to form a transfer material with a pattern. After that, the pattern face of the transfer material is placed on a heat-resistant base material and is heated and pressed to peel the release sheet. Next, a base material to which the pattern and a cover coat layer are transferred is thermally treated at 130 deg.C or higher for about 30 sec. to 5 min. Thus it is possible to obtain the decorative body which shows high design characteristics, weatherability, and durability, with profundity and warmth.
