PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to keep the cable feed speed of a cable grasping moving apparatus constant, even if the outside diameter of a cable changes. SOLUTION: A group of grasping rollers (49) composed of a driving roller 10a which rotates touching one side surface of a cable 1 and an idling roller (10b) touching the other side surface of the cable 1 from the opposite side to the driving roller 10a, and a first roller holder 13a which holds the driving roller 10a, are provided. A second roller holder 13b which holds the idling roller (10b), a sliding guide member 16 which supports the first and second roller holders 13a, 13b in such a way as to be slidable freely in a direction of approaching or separating mutually, and a radial direction position adjusting mechanism Y which determines the radial positions of the first and second roller holders 13a, 13b, are provided. The first roller holder 13a has an elastic pressing mechanism 21 which presses the driving roller 10a to one lateral surface side.
