METHOD FOR SWITCHING SEMI-AUTOMATIC AUTOMOBILE TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for switching a semi-automatic automobile transmission capable shortening overall switching time or consequently interruption of current of force generated during switching. SOLUTION: This is to propose a method of switching an electronic controlled semi-automatic transmission 3 for automobiles, specially for commercial vehicles. In order to start changing over shift stage, a driver operates a switch-over command generator 7 and simultaneously disengages a clutch 2 with a pedal 6. A new shift stage selected by an electronic device 8 is then inserted into the transmission 3 by the help of external force. After the shift stage is switched, the driver is informed that he may engage the clutch 2 again through a return information device 9. In order to speed up the overall switching process or to shorten the interruption of the current of force during the switching process, the return information device 9 is controlled when the electronic device 8 confirms that the transmission 9 has started the synchronous process.
