CORNEAL DISEASE TREATMENT AGENT FOR TOPICAL APPLICATION TO EYE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject treating agent capable of promoting the migration, extension and proliferation of corneal epithelium cell and actively accelerating the covering of corneal epithelium by including a catecholamine (salt) as an active component. SOLUTION: The objective treating agent useful as an eye drop preferably for topical application is produced by including a catecholamine or its salt, preferably norepinephrine, as an active component. The application rate is preferably 1-6 doses a day and 1-5 drops per dose in the case of eye drop. In the case of ophthalmic ointment, preferably a proper amount of the ointment is applied in the conjunctival sac usually once or twice a day.
