Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding molten glass which executes a slow cooing and low temp. heat treatment process while holding a disk-shaped glass plate with heat resistant ceramics without executing the mold releasing to impart deformation force to the glass plate liable to be deformed by a high temp., after a pair of the heat resistant ceramics are freely attachably and detachably mounted at an upper punch and a lower punch and the glass plate is formed by pressing the molten glass in a cylindrical die. SOLUTION: The press system having the columnar upper punch 1, the lower punch 2 and the cylindrical die 3 enclosing the same has a stage for mounting the attachable and detachable heat resistant ceramic plates 4, 5 onto the upper and lower punch surfaces, a stage for accepting the spherical molten glass 6 therebetween, a stage for forming the glass plate by a press working and a stage for executing the slow cooing and low temp. heat treatment process while holding the glass plate by the upper and lower heat resistant ceramic plates. The heat resistant ceramic plates have excellent thermal heat resistance and include the carbon having the excellent release property from the glass in the surface layers.
