SOLUTION: In a method for clarification of gas wherein a gas 6 contg. contaminating gas is treated by passing it through a chemical filter 4, a liq. for performing a process for measuring concn. of the contaminating gas in the gas by means of a contaminating gas detector 5 arranged on the upstream of the chemical filter 4, a process wherein based on the output of the contaminating gas detector 5, integrated value of load of the contaminating gas ingredient to the chemical filter is calculated and a process wherein life of the chemical filter is predicted based on the calculated value, is transferred.
