LOCKING DEVICE FOR DRINK OR FOOD STORAGE VESSEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lock a lid by providing the lid with a finger insertion recessed section for applying a finger to an operation lever of a hook, attaching a lock to the finger insertion recessed section, covering the finger insertion recessed section with a slidable shutter, and engaging a lock piece of the lock rotated due to the operation of a key with the operation layer. SOLUTION: When a lid 2 is tightened, a hook 6 is engaged with an engaging recessed section. A knob 25 of a shutter 19 is pinched to slide it forward and hit it against a rear end side of an operation part 18 of an operation lever 12 so as to close a finger insertion recessed section 15. When the lid 2 is opened, the shutter 19 is retreated to open the finger insertion recessed section 15, and a finger tip is inserted into the part and is applied to a lower face of the operation part 18 to pull it upward. Then, the operation lever 12 is operated to retreat the hook 6 in opposition to spring force of a coil spring 9 and remove it from the engaging recessed section 8. When the lid 2 is locked while it is closed, a lock piece 31 turns by 90 degrees and is engaged with a rear end face of the shutter 19 so that the shutter 19 cannot be retreated.
