METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTENTS PROTECTION, CONTENTS PROCESSING SYSTEM, MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, AND RECORD MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and convenient system and method which make it possible to process and edit an image protected by the right to refuse to be copied and collect value when a had copy of it is taken. SOLUTION: On an image processor 3, a record medium 5a stored with a purchased image protected by the right to refuse to be copied and a record medium 5b stood with an image of a user are set, the ciphered purchased image is deciphered, and the images stored on both the media are processed. When a generated image is printed, the ID and link information of the purchased image used for the generation and information showing the style of the processing of the image are stored on the record medium 5b, which is set on an image printer 2 at a DPE store. The image printer 2 informs a management center 1 of the ID and link information of the purchased image and the management center 1 allows its use by charging the DPE store for the use. Based upon permission, the image printer 2 prints the generated image. The management center 1 withdraws the charges for use from the accounts of respective DPE stores, and then totalizes and transfers the charges for the use to the accounts of respective right holders.
