OPTICAL FIBER PROVIDED WITH SURPLUS PART HOUSING PART

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber capable of being easily treated without deteriorating characteristics of the optical fiber by making a surplus treating part in the optical fiber of regular size connecting optically related equipments to each other to be hardly affected by external factor. SOLUTION: This optical fiber 2 of regular size is provided with a housing part 1 for winding and housing the surplus treating part of the optical fiber itself. Thus, the surplus processing part can be protected and easily treated so as to be made to be hardly affected by the external factor, and to be hardly entangled. It is desired that the housing part 1 is constituted of a housing container having a housing container main body 7 for housing the optical fiber 2 to be entered and exited, a winding drum 5 housed in the housing container to be rotatable and winding the surplus treating part of the optical fiber 2 and a winding handle 9 connected to a shaft 6 of the winding drum 5.
