Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester fiber capable of giving a woven or knit fabric having sufficiently high luxuriousness and high opacity and exhibiting new body feelings comprising unique feeling such as dry feeling, squeaking feeling and harshness in combination with mild luster. SOLUTION: This polyester fiber is composed of a mixture of a polyester containing >=1 wt.% of inorganic fine particles and a polyester having high dissolution rate in hot alkaline aqueous solution compared with the former polyester. The mixed polyester having high dissolution rate in the hot alkaline aqueous solution is linearly extended in the direction of fiber axis. The fiber forms micro-voids on the fiber surface and linear grooves in the direction of fiber axis by the thinning treatment with the hot alkaline aqueous solution and has a ΔLA value of
