Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject controlling agent and activating agent which prevent and control effectively Bursaphelenchus xylophilus or borers and can control or activate the withering damage on trees or the like by including a garlic essential oil and/or an allyl sulfide compound. SOLUTION: The objective controlling agent and activating agent are obtained by including (A) a garlic essential oil and/or (B) an allyl sulfide compound of a constructive component of the component A. The component A is obtained by crushing Allium sativum to react with enzymes and then separating and purifying an essential oil by means of steam distillation. The component B is obtained by fractional distillation and purification of the component A or by synthetic processes. As the component B, diallyl monosulfide, diallyl disulfide or the like is illustrated. As plants applied to this controlling agent and activating agent, trees, petal plants and the like in forests, parks, streets, gardens, windbreaks or orchards are illustrated. |
