Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent mechanical strength by forming a groove with a nearly V-shaped section along the longitudinal direction of the top of a main body with a nearly gate-shaped section and forming the grooved part to have the same thickness with the top of the main body. SOLUTION: The main body 1 of a structural material for buildings is formed to have a nearly gate-shaped section and vertical sides 1b are formed downward from both breadthwise sides of the top 1a of the body 1 and horizontal flaps 1c are formed from the lower ends of the vertical sides 1b. A groove 2 with a nearly V-shaped section is formed along the longitudinal direction on the top 1a of the body 1. The groove 2 is integrally formed with the top 1a and provided with nearly the same thickness with the top 1a. And a fixing tool 3 for an architectural plate as a hanging piece, a bracket metal or the like is fixed with a fastening tool 4 and the architectural plate A is fixed to the top 1a with the fixing tool 3 and the front end of the fastening tool 4 is screwed in the groove 2. And hence, a sufficient screw depth can be secured even in a thin steel member.
