Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attain program retrieval, and to widen the range of the choice of a user even in the case of a multi-channel. SOLUTION: A modem 33 fetches information related with a program rating from a telephone line 34. A microcomputer and filter functioning part 35 instructs tuning based on information related with the program rating. For example, the tuning of a program whose instantaneous program rating is extremely high is instructed. A recording controller 38 controls a recorder 39 to record the instructed program regardless of the program which is being viewed at present. Thus, a user can easily select a desired program without necessitating any troublesome operation.
