Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the movement in any rotating direction inherent in a claw type clutch mechanism obtained by simple and effective design and provide compact design demanded in vehicle application. SOLUTION: Clutch mechanism is provided with a first member provided as a driving member 32, and a second member provided as a driven member 34. The first and second member have faces adjacent in the fixed relation when the driving member 32 and driven member 34 are rotated in a united state, first and second sets of engaging shoulder parts 72 in the respective faces, and first and second sets of claws 56 positioned between the faces. The claws 56 are energized by an energizing means 50 in an engaged position. A control member 58 movable between a first position and a second position acts upon the claw 56 to detach the claw 56 from the engaged position and to engage it into the engaged position. The rotary motion of the control member 58 is delayed by a rotation delaying means 86, and the claw 56 is engaged in the engaged position and released from engagement by the action of this control member 58.
