Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent screen display device and screen display control method which effectively use object/window display areas in the inactive state existing on a display screen. SOLUTION: One or more objects and windows are displayed in a bit map form on the display screen. Whether a prescribed object/window displayed on the display screen is in the active state or not is always monitored, and display contents of the prescribed object/window are switched in accordance with the monitor result. For example, normal display contents of the object/ window are displayed as they are if the object/window is in the active state, but other information (for example, advertisement information) is displayed if it is in the inactive state.
