Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a melting ability in a stable energizing state even with a small specific resistance value of an ash. SOLUTION: The ash treating electric melting furnace comprises an upper electrode 14, a furnace bottom electrode 15, and an ash supply chute 18 of the shape surrounding the electrode 14 at an interval and extended at its end 18a into the furnace to a position for forming a space in an upper part from a melted slag surface. And, the electrode 14 is coated on a surface of a carbon electrode with an insulating paint 14a or coated on an inner surface of the chute 18 with an insulator.
