PIPE END PART BLOCKING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe end part blocking device to rapidly and reliably mount a blocking plug in the given position of piping. SOLUTION: A blocking plug P comprises a plug body 2 insertable in the internal part of piping 1 to be closed; an elastic sealing member 3 fitted over the outer peripheral part of the plug body 2 and adhered to the whole periphery of the inner peripheral surface of the piping 1, a female screw part threadedly joined with a male screw part 7 formed on the outer peripheral part of the plug body 2, and a press nut 4 to be pressed against the elastic seal member 3 and expand the elastic seal member 3 in the expansion direction Z of the piping 1. Further, a pipe end part blocking device S is provided with the blocking plug P, and a operation tool T engaged with the press nut 4 to effect relative rotation between the plug body 2 and the press nut 4. The operation tool T comprises an outer cylinder member 13 engageable with the press nut 4; and a middle shaft member engageable with the plug body 2 so that registration is practicable as the blocking plug P is pressed in and retracted from the arbitrary position in an insertion direction X of the blocking plug P.
