Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently and readily isolating and purifying only the objective oligosaccharide without mixing other impurities, especially an impurity derived from cellulose therein in a short time. SOLUTION: A cellulose column chromatography is carried out by using a mixed solution of an alcohol with water as an eluent in a method for isolating and purifying an oligosaccharide from an oligosaccharide sample. Thereby, only the objective oligosaccharide is isolated and purified. The alcohol concentration in the mixed solution of the alcohol with water is preferably 10-90% and the alcohol is preferably methanol or ethanol.
