COMPOSITE WRITING INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite writing instrument reducing the number of required parts, also reducing the manufacturing cost and storing a number of writing shafts. SOLUTION: The state, in which one slider 22 is moved forward in an outer barrel 10 and engaged with an engaging section formed on the front end of an operation cam 26 and protruded from the end of the outer barrel 10, is retained by the relative rotating operation between sliders 22 connected with the rear ends of respective writing shafts 14, 16, and 18 and the operation cams 26 provided in the outer barrel 10. An endless cam channel 30 is formed on the operation cam 26 in its peripheral direction, and all the sliders 22 are guided between its forward moving position and backward moving position on the cam channel 30, and a part of the channel is opened to the front and engaging sections, which are referred to formed on the front of the operation cams 26, are formed on the open sections, while one spring 32 encircling the writing shafts 14, 16 and 18 is provided in the outer cylinder 32, and the sliders 22 engaged with the engaging sections are operated by the spring 32 to energize the sliders 22 in the direction of pressing the sliders to the engaging sections.
