Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a DNA useful in e.g. an antigenic gene for vaccines for the purpose of inducing protective immunity against infection with Malassezia bacteria such as Malassezia furfur or other fungi in mammals. SOLUTION: This DNA is such one as to be constituted of an amino acid sequence of the formula and encode a polypeptide having the ability to bind to IgE antibody derived from patients suffered from Malassezia allergic diseases. This DNA is obtained by the following procedure: the whole RNA is afforded from the microbial cells of Malassezia further TIMM 2782 (FERM BP-5611) followed by preparing a cDNA library and transformation to e.g. Escherichia coli, and a culture is performed on a LB plate containing ampicillin followed by immunoscreening with an anti-Malassezia antibody; a plasmid is purified following its extraction from a transformant colony reacted with the anti- Malassezia antibody, the base sequence of cDNA encoding the antigenic polypeptide is determined, and the aimed amino acid sequence encoded by the above base sequence is afforded. |
