SYNCHRONIZATION RECEIVER AND METHOD FOR COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the synchronization receiver and method for a communication system at a low cost in which a battery saving efficiency is enhanced. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a radio receiver 1, a synchronous signal detection circuit 2, a controller 3 and a timer 4. The synchronous signal detection 2 detects a synchronizing signal from a demodulated signal from the radio receiver 1 that receives an input signal and produces a synchronous signal detection signal. The controller 3 generates timer setting signal and gives is to the timer 4, in response to the synchronizing signal detection signal. The timer 4 subjected to setting of an operation setting time based on a timer setting signal, produces a timer interrupt signal and gives it to the controller 3 at a transit point of time of the operation setting time. The controller 3 generates a battery saving(SB) control signal, in response to the timer interrupt signal and gives it to the radio receiver 1 from controlling the power supply of the radio receiver 1.
