Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for handwriting input device and to suppress an increase in the occupation storage capacity of a font dictionary to a small increase as compared with an increase of kinds of deformation by generating a character parttern having a part deformed corresponding to the deformation instruction of a storage character pattern and outputting character data by using the character parttern. SOLUTION: A character pattern storage part 21 is stored with a character pattern as a combination of a common pattern 210a and a deformed part pattern 210b. A deformation instructing means 1 instructs the deformation of parts of the character pattern. A character pattern generating means 2 generates the character pattern having the part deformed corresponding to the deformation instruction made by the deformation instructing means 1 for the character pattern stored in the character pattern storage part 21. A character data output means 3 outputs the character data by using the character pattern generated by the character pattern generating means 2. Therefore, all Chinese characters need not be registered and inputted, one by one.
