PIPE END SEALING JOINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing joint, which is used for closing a pipe end in gas pipe arranging construction and can safely and surely cut off a gas pipe. SOLUTION: A sealing joint is constructed of a body part 23, which is connected to a pipe end and provided with a diaphragm 22 integrally formed inside it, a hole saw 24, which is screwed to the body part 23 retractably so as to bore the diaphragm 22, a spigot 25, which is protruded sideward from the body part 23 and formed integrally with the body part 23, and a cap 26, which is screwed to the body part end so as to cut off the body part end. The sealing joint is installed to the pipe end in the last process of gas pipe arranging work so as to close the pipe end, and the pipe is buried back after its pipe end is closed. For connecting a pipe, the periphery of the joint is dug up so that the sealing joint is exposed, and then, a pipe is connected to the spigot end. Subsequently, the cap 26 in the body part end is removed and the hole saw 24 is twisted in so as to bore the diaphragm 22, and after boring, the hole saw 24 is pulled up.
