Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing a poly(alkyl (meth)acrylate) rubber/latex. SOLUTION: In a continuous emulsion polymerization, an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer is polymerized in the presence of a surfactant of the formula R-SO3 M (R is an alkyl or an alkoxy; M is H or a cation) so that the particle diameter of rubber can be excellently controlled. A graft copolymer comprising a poly(alkyl (meth)acrylate) rubber obtained by the method as a main component is used as an impact strength modifier in a molding composition of a thermoplastic resin to provide improved weather resistance.
