SOLUTION: The sludge generated when the raw water taken in from rivers, etc., is flocculated, settled and filtered is concentrated by this method. Accordingly, the sludge settled on the bottom of a settling tank 4 is sent to a sludge discharge basin 6, supplied to a membrane concentrator 7 based on a membrane module from the basin 6 and treated with the membrane, hence the solid content of the sludge is increased to 5-10%, and then the sludge is sent to a dehydrator 8 and concentrated. Accordingly, the concentration rate is increased, and stable treatment is performed without being seasonally affected.
