Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing jelly-like food which forms a gelation layer in the surface layer part and forms a layer composed of liquid or sol-like composition in the lower part, capable of producing a product having shape and texture which have not been prepared hitherto and excellent in industrial productivity. SOLUTION: At least one or more kinds of gelling compositions are previously made to gel and then finely cut and the resultant finely cut material is charged into a container and a liquid-like or sol-like composition which is different in specific gravity from the finely cut material is directly packed into the container or the composition is packed into the container in a state in which viscosity of the composition is lowered by heating and heated to a temperature at which previously charged finely cut material is dissolved and then, cooled to provide the objective jelly like food which forms gelation layer in the surface part and forms a layer comprising a liquid or sol-like composition in the lower part.
