Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ultraviolet absorber suitable for protection for a long period by incorporating solid compound particles containing atomic silicon and/or containing stoichiometrically excess silicon atoms and having a specified average diameter. SOLUTION: A photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at need, at least one of non-photosensitive layers arranged nearer to a light source than the emulsion layer contain the solid compound particles containing atomic silicon and/or stoichiometrically excess silicon atoms and having an average particle diameter of 0.5, preferably, >0.7, and Z is an atom selected from C, N, O, Ge, Ca, Ba, and Sr, preferably, C or Ge.
