SOLUTION: A cooling gas 5 is injected to the vicinity of a cutting part 4 being a melted part of a base material formed on a material 2 to be cut by a plasma arc 3 injected toward the material 2 to be cut from a cutting torch 1. As for the cooling gas 5, carbon dioxide or a mixture of carbon dioxide and a reducing gas (e.g. hydrogen) is used. |
