SOLUTION: The shredder dust is obtained by charging various industrial refuse or domestic refuse into the shredder and removing the metallic component from the shredded material. A material consisting of plastic, rubber, cloth, etc., is exemplified. The dust is easily briquetted by an injection molding machine, etc. In this case, a part of the hydrocarbonic compds. is melted by the frictional heat or self heating and acts as a binder. When the scrap is introduced into the refining furnace in addition to molten iron, the charge is effectively heated by adding the briquette rich in hydrocarbonic compds. even if the charge is not sufficiently heated only by the carbon in the molten iron. |
