Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inexpensive abrasion resistant alumina sintered compact capable of being used for a long period even in a use used an application of severe conditions such as a nozzle for blast, a member for a pulverizer, a lining material for a solid-transporting passage, and capable of being formed by a low temperature firing in an atmospheric surrounding. SOLUTION: This abrasion resistant alumina sintered compact comprises 96-97 wt.% Al2 O3 , and 0.5-1.0 wt.% SiO2 , 1.5-2.0 wt.% MgO, 0.5-1.0 wt.% B2 O3 as sintering components, and is constituted so as to have 1-4 μm average particle diameter of the crystal of alumina in the sintered compact and >=89 kg/mm Rockwell hardness.
