PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive image forming device, where the gas transmission performance of a gas transmitting means arranged in a container being a carrying destination to which a gas flow shifting means shifts and carries developer, is prevented from being deteriorated because the developer adheres to the surface of the gas transmitting means, and which is excellent in maintenability. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of the gas flow shifting means 5 shifting the developer supplied to a developing means 2 developing an electrostatic latent image formed on an image carrier 1 or the developer recovered from a cleaning means 4 removing residual toner after transferring a toner image by a transfer means 3 as mixture where the developer is mixed with gas fluidizing the developer, a mixture carrying means 6 at least one part of which is flexible and which carries the mixture consisting of the developer and the gas fluidizing the developer and shifted by the shifting means 5, the gas transmitting means 7 separating the gas from the developer carried as the mixture in the carrying means 6 and transmitting the gas, and a gas permeability restoration means 8 restoring the gas permeability of the transmitting means 7.
