Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive pump to exhibit the pump action by repeating the crushing of a pump main body and the extension of the pump main body through a tension member by arranging the tension member in at least one end plate of a hollow pump having a flexible peripheral wall and two end plates. SOLUTION: A pump main body 10 of an air pump 1 arranged so as to be enclosed in an expansive article such as an air mat, is composed of a flexible cylindrical peripheral wall and a pair of end plates 11 and 12 oppositely arranged on both ends of it, so that a tension belt 14 is arranged on one end plate 11. An air inlet 15 and an air outlet 16 are respectively arranged on the respective end plates 11 so that a unidirectional intake valve 17 as a check valve and a discharge valve 18 are arranged in the respective ones. In operating the air pump 1, the pump action is exhibited by extending the pump main body 10 by crushing the pump main body 10 through the end plate 11 or pulling the end plate 11 through the tension belt 14 by inserting a hand or a foot into the tension belt 14.
