Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure and to reduce the number of parts and its manufacturing cost, and to improve the operability of a lock, in the locking structure of a casing. SOLUTION: A casing for a public telephone booth 1 is formed of a front case 2 having an opening 4 formed on a back side and a rear plate 3 to block up the opening 4. A bent part 12 is formed on an edge metal 10 of the front case 2, and is provided with a drilled engaging hole 12a. An actuating lever 18 having an actuating pin 19 is journaled to a rotating shaft for a lock 17, and a lock lever 21a engaged with the actuating pin 19 is provided with a lock pin 26. The rear plate 3 is protrusively provided with engaging pieces 32, 33, 34 to be engaged with the engaging-in hole 12a, and after engaging, the front case 2 lowers on account of its dead weight. The lock pin 26 is located below the lower end 34b of an engaged engaging piece 34 through the locking operation of the lock 17.
