COMPOSITION FOR USE IN ORAL CAVITY FOR SUPPRESSION OF HALITOSIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition remarkably improved in halitosis- suppressing effect and excellent in its sustainability, by using a deodorant for oral cavity and sialorrhea-stimulating agent in combination. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) 0.001-50 wt.%, preferably, 0.01-10 wt.% (based on the total weight of the reparation and so on) of a deodorant for oral cavity and (B) 0.001-50 wt.%, preferably, 0.01-10 wt.%, wherein, the compounding weight ratio of the component A to the component B is preferably (1:1,000)-(1,000:1), more preferably, (1:100)-(100:1). As the component A, a solvent extract of sage, rosemary or thyme, carnosol, carnosic acid and rosemanol or the like is preferably used. As the component B, Cola acumlnata Schott et Endlicher, Cola nitida A. Chev., a solvent extract thereof or the like is preferably used. The composition can be prepared as dentifrice, mouthwash, tablets for gargling, troches, candies, chewing gum or the like.
